As I nay have mentioned before, chocolate is my favourite food. I'm a self-confessed chocoholic. So, when browsing the Good Food app I came across these tasty treats and just HAD to make them. I have edited the recipe to make it my own - I did not have any bicarbonate soda and I added a drop of milk as the mix looked quite crumbly at one point.

MY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
150g softened salted butter
60g granulated sugar
60g brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
140g self-raising flour
100g plain chocolate chopped into chunks
1 pinch of salf
1 drop of milk

METHOD
1) Preheat the oven to 190/170 Fan/Gas Mark 5. If you want to, you can line your baking trays with baking paper at this stage but I didn't.

2) Put the butter and sugars in a small mixing bowl and stir until mixed together

3) Beat in the vanilla extract and egg.

4) Put the flour and salt in the mix and stir in.

5) Chop the chocolate into small chunks and add to the mixture. Stir them in until they are well incorporated.

6) Using a teaspoon and your hands, mold the mixture into small balls and place on the baking trays.

7) Pop the cookies in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

8) Once cooked, leave the cookies to cool in the baking trays before transferring to a cooling rack or plate.

Enjoy!
